Job Description

Equity Data Analyst

Data Management department is intended to improve the data management abilities of MSCI.  As part of this initiative, 2 teams have been setup viz. Project team and Production team.

Project team: is responsible for constructing data histories for new markets/ enhancing coverage in existing markets.  The team also continuously enhances data history by eliminating data gaps, fixing errors etc.

Production team: is responsible for ensuring security master and market data coverage and quality of equity securities and other asset classes for MSCI as a whole

Desired experience and Qualifications:

Experience in quantitative analysis and researching equity markets

Prior exposure to data analysis/operations is desirable

Ability to articulate the substantive issues clearly and concisely to peers, senior management and clients

Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel

Programming skills and working knowledge of ETL platforms like SAS/ Matlab
