Job Description

Backend Engineer

Should develop or write programs and/or modules.

Should solve and debug issues independently.

Should be able to work as individual contributor.

Requirements :

Experienced in development and maintenance of  programs  in Perl

Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Concepts.

Ability to understand enhancement requests for the existing products.

Technical Skills:

1-2 years of experience development of Perl/Ruby scripts

1 year of work experience with Unix /Linux environment.

1-2 years of  database work experience with any major RDBMS. (Sybase Preferred)

Knowledge on any version control tool (Subversion preferred).

Good to have:

Exposure to any build and release tools.

Knowledge of agile development viz. SCRUM
