Job Description
Desktop Support Engineer
Technical
support involving the support for desktop, point of sale (POS), EDC (card
swiping machine), printers etc.,
Trouble
shoot all incoming calls and try to resolve the same on telephone.
Log user
calls and give them a trouble ticket.
Track calls.
Assign
severity level to each call .
Track each
call to resolution.
Generate
call reports using the Service Desk tool provided.
Escalate
the calls, if necessary.
Follow
Process as per client guidelines.
Log calls
with vendors (including Hardware, LAN/WAN and Firewall/Back-up software related
issues requiring Vendor assistance/intervention).
His Job
will be on a Shift Role.
Morning
Shift - 7AM to 3PM
General
Shift - 9:30AM to 6:30PM
Afternoon
Shift - 12:00PM to 9:00PM
Second
Shift - 3:00PM to 12:00AM
Night Shift
- 10:00PM to 7:00AM
