Software Engineer
Primary job responsibilities:
Learn and
understand OpenType fonts, including GSUB and GPOS rules
Rewrite the
OpenType tables for Lohit Bengali, Devanagari, Gujarati, Oriya, Telugu, and
Kannada
Ensure that
the final version of these fonts work on both Fedora and Windows
Required skills:
Currently
studying (or bachelor's degree in) computer science, software engineering, or a
related subject
A passion
for open source software
Willingness
to work on font technology and development
Interested
in improving Linux open source support for Indic scripts
Experience
with Linux development is preferred
Knowledge
of font technology, including the FontForge tool, would be a plus
