Engineering Content Developer
Write development plans for a new or modified course, module, or learning object.
Define development schedules.
Determine the affect a new release has on a single course.
Write design documents.
Develop or modify standard NetApp courses and special courses (e.g. Brocade, Veritas, etc.)
Provide technical reviews.
Maintain and build technical proficiency on NetApp products and solutions.
Candidate Profile
An Associate of Arts Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or other related technical field;
or equivalent experience is required.
No prior experience is required. Most new employees in this position have 0-2 years experience.
Course work in the education field, or related work experience develo0ping instructional materials
is preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal communication and interviewing skills.
Good technical understanding of NetApp hardware and software products.
Basic understanding of related technologies.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Proficient in at least one graphics program.
Follow standard development processes and NetApp U procedures.
Follow the corporate style guide, Technical Publishing Guide, Chicago Manual of Style and
department format guidelines.
