Job Description

Requirements:

5+ Years of Application Development/Support experience with Strong knowledge of Java J2EE Technologies including Spring, Hibernate, JMS, UNIX, Oracle

Provide L1/L2/L3 support within the agreed SLA

Must be hands on and familiarity with Open source tools and application servers like Apache Tomcat/ IBM Websphere etc

Proficiency in RDBMS, Performance Tuning, Oracle Database 10g

Basic knowledge on MQ preferred but not mandatory

Any experience in Cognos will be a big advantage

Production Support Experience - should have worked on monitoring of applications and be familiar with tools for looking at java heaps, CPU / RAM utilization, network bandwidth monitoring etc.

Should have a strong background in profiling applications and code improvement and optimization

Strong Problem solving skills

Must be willing to work in shifts and provide on call support

Collaborate with the other IT delivery teams, Business and Operations on a day to day basis and ensure relations with selected vendors for application support/enhancement

Co-ordinate deployment of application changes to production environment invoking change & release management processes

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional Skills:

Good interpersonal skills

Any prior experience in working on custody applications will be a strong advantage

Team player

Have a positive approach to work and to fellow team members

Superior attention to detail

Ability to provide solutions to a tight deadline

Good prioritization and time management
