Job Description:
Junior Engineer, Jr.Assistant, Draftsman, Jr Stenographer, Others
JE (Civil): Candidate is required to be holding BE/BTech in Civil Engineering or 3 year Diploma in
Civil engg or AMIE section (A&B) India in Civil.
JE (Mechanical): Candidate is required to be holding BE/BTech in Mechanical or Aeronautical or
Automobile production Engineering or 3 years Diploma in Mechanical or Aeronautical or Automobile
production or AMIE section (A&B) India in Mechanical or Aeronautical or Automobile production.
JE (Electrical): Candidate is required to be holding BE/BTech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
or 3 year Diploma in Electrical or Electronics engg or AMIE section (A&B) India in Electrical or
Electronics.
Jr Assistant:
Candidate is required to be graduate from any recognized university with knowledge of type writing
having not less than 35 words speed per minute and six months certificate course in computer from
a recognized institute.
The candidate having degrees like BCA, BCS, BCM, BE/B.Tech (computer/ IT), MCA, MCS, MCM,
BSc (IT), MSc (IT), ME/M.Tech (computer/ IT) or BSc (with computer as a subject) are not
required to possess the six months certificate course in computer from a recognized institute.
Draftsman: Candidate is required to be holding two years diploma in Draftsman (mech/civil
/electrical) or two years Certificate Course in draftsman (mech/civil).
Jr Stenographer: Candidate is required to be a Graduate from a recognized University and
possessing six months certificate course in Computer Applications from any recognized institute.
Technician: Candidate is required to be Matric pass with ITI trade in Technician trade.
IEC Worker: Candidate is required to be graduate from any recognized university
Motor Vehicle Inspector: Candidate is required to be holding three years diploma in Automobile
Engg.
Junior Systems Engg: Candidate is required to be BE/BTech in IT or Computers or Electronics &
Communication or MCA or Diploma in IT or E & C.
Library Assistant: Candidate is required to possess Graduation degree and Bachelor�s Degree in
Library Science from any recognized university or Diploma in Library Science.
Junior Librarian: Candidate is required to possess Bachelor�s Degree in Library Science from any
recognized university.
Multipurpose Worker/Village Level Worker: Candidate is required to possess SSSC (10 plus 2).

Library Assistant/Junior Librarian/Multipurpose Worker/Village Level Worker: Rs. 10,500/-
JKSSB Recruitment Selection process:
Selection shall be made on the basis of a multiple choice based Written test. There shall be
negative marking in Multiple Choice Based written test. There will be no Viva.
For Jr Assistant, Candidates shall be selected on the basis of merit obtained in type test (having 60
points weightage) and a multiple choice based written test (having 40 points weightage).There
shall be negative marking in Multiple Choice Based written test.
For Jr Stenographer, Candidates shall be selected on the basis of the merit obtained in type test
(having 10 points weightage), a shorthand test (having 50 points weightage) and a multiple choice
based written test (having 40 points weightage). 50 points of shorthand test will further be divided
into 25 points each for transcription and dictation.Candidates will have to necessarily obtain type
speed of at least 35 WPM with accuracy of at least 90% to be eligible for selection. Further,
candidate has to obtain WPM of at least 65 in short hand test for being considered eligible for
consideration.
