Job Description:
Test Engineer
The Test Engineer should be self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a
quick-turnaround environment including multiple platforms, diverse technologies and factory lab
environments.
The Test Engineer will work closely with developers, project managers, support teams and other
stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results,
troubleshooting and coordinating defect resolution.
The Test Engineer should have a strong understanding of SDLC processes and the QA lifecycle and
methodology.
Candidate Profile
Interact with project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of
the project and testing objectives.
Involved in approach definition, requirements elicitation & refinement process to baseline the
checklist required for the final deliverable.
Should be able to prepare test scripts (or) customize client driven test scripts based on the
requirement need.
Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root
cause identification and resolution.
Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using JIRA or similar tools/means.
Support production deployment of applications and perform validation testing on need basis.
Working experience in CLM tools will be a plus.
Analytic tool experience is an added advantage (e.g) Fiddler, Metatag etc.
Desired Profile:
Conduct functional and/or integration testing of multiple products in eModule, web, desktop, mobile
and multi-platform application environment.
Creation of test cases based on the requirements defined, Wireframes, Use-Case Diagrams.
Coordinate on frequent updates based on the changes and reuse wherever applicable across
product life cycle.
Execute test cases at different stages of the Product Life Cycle.
Familiar with different types of testing Black Box (viz) Functionality, User Interface, Smoke,
Database, Integration, and Regression.
Good knowledge in analytic extraction using familiar tools.
Logging of defects against functionality verification with detailing, validation upon bug fix and
tracking the defect towards closure.
Provide timely status report to QA Lead and/or Manager.
Responsible for verifying adhoc checks to confirm the release has been implemented successfully.
Conversant with adequate exploratory testing knowledge.
UAT Support & Guidance.
Skills:
Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum 3+ years related experience preferred in both manual and Automation testing(Selenium).
Industry certification (CSTE, ISTQB, etc.) will be a plus.
Healthcare/Pharmaceutical testing background would be preferred.
Multi-Browser testing & devices testing would be an added advantage.
Prior Veeva (iDetail) & LMS knowledge experience is a plus.
2 + experience in Selenium with Java/Python.
