Job Description Quality Co-ordinator
The heart of General Mills Food Package Labeling systems are the E-Clips (Electronic label
information processing system) & PLS (Product Labeling System). Every finished product package
label needs to comply to Quality and Regulatory standards prescribed by the US FDA Laws and
Company Policies which are managed through our core systems.
General Mills is seeking experts to handle Finished Products Labeling, who will be responsible for
reviewing & updating package labels in their complex, yet powerful system, to provide accurate
package labels that comply with the regulation for printing and used at manufacturing plants for
packaging the food products.
Responsibilities
Print, Reviewing and make recommendations for food product package labels.
Completing ECLIPSE label information and approving secondary packaging.
Update & Publish Product Nutrition Profile for Key accounts(e.g.Pizza hut, Schools, large bakeries etc)
Comparing Ingredient & nutrition data across plants and product formula versions.
Supporting annual Verification of Label Nutrition values and creating reports for compliance.
Answering and researching consumer response questions.
Population of data into PLS (diet exchanges, claims).
Entering Supplier ingredient nutrition data in to PLS.
Complete special projects as directed.
Initiate and own Projects and execute as expected.
Identify Process improvements.
Train and transfer knowledge and act as a Mentor.
Create / maintain documentation for training.
Skills
0 to 2 years of relevant experience in food science, or nutrition and/or related fields.
Bachelor�s or Master�s degree in food science or a related life science fields preferred.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills,
clearly articulates views in a written and verbal discussions.
Strong command of the English language.
Experience dealing with U.S. personnel preferred.
Ability to exercise judgment in handling confidential proprietary information.
