Majid Hussain stated that the GHMC second job mela will be held at the Banjara
Function Hall, Banjara Hills, on November 20 where close to 4,000 unemployed
youths are expected to be recruited for appropriate jobs.
Training imparted
After
interacting with top municipal officials, he said that about 40 firms had
evinced interest in the fair and training was also imparted for those rejected
in the first event held in the old city.
Infrastructure
arrangements such as seating, drinking water and power supply will be provided
for, along with first-aid facilities.
Mr. Hussain
had also inspected ongoing works in the Attapur division and directed the
engineering wing to take up estimates for desilting the Firangi Nala areas and
removing encroachments so that water freely flows into the Miralam Tank. The
project will be cleared in the standing committee meeting, he said.
Drain work
He also
wanted a comprehensive storm water drain work to be prepared for the area and
problems associated with street lighting and sanitation be addressed
immediately, an official spokesperson said.
