Job Description 

SQL Database Administrator

Providing 24*7 support to the overseas clients. Experience of working in big data centers, with size up to 5 TB.

Extensive administration experience in MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 R2 and applying latest SQL Server Service packs.

Gathering the server details as a Pre-migration activity for server consolidation. Backup and Recovery Policy Planning and Documentation.

Experience of high availability SQL Server solutions, Replication, Mirroring and SQL Server clustering Creating Maintenance plans and troubleshooting SQL Server Agent Scheduled jobs like Backup, Integrity, Optimization, and Log Shipping jobs regularly Database Tuning (Performance and Query). Managing ISMS/ISO technical documents, SOPs & procedures.

Creating & maintaining documentation to support compliance / IT Security and audit requirements Need to work from India for client in Australia to manage multiple production databases in SQL Server 2000 & 2005 

Desired Profile

Minimum 5 years of IT industry experience. Should be Microsoft Certified Very fluent in all important SQL Server DBA activities, architectural components and storage structures.

Excellent problem solving skills. Well acquainted with networking and Solaris/Linux/Windows administration activities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a great team player.

Candidate with exposure to ISMS policy and ISO standards preferred Candidates need to work on Client time zone.
