Job Description

Responsibilities:

Build complex business applications as a member of high energy team.

Use MVC frameworks, OOPs concepts, etc to build modular applications, loosely coupled applications.

Apply SOA concepts to build loosely coupled applications, scalable applications Participate in the entire lifecycle of the product - design, documentation, coding, testing and deployment.

Build products with a view to maximising ease of operations of those products and facilitate rapid development and deployment of new features and changes.

Integrate third party products, understand the underlying platform of those products.

Build tools and frameworks to facilitate rapid issue resolution.

Skill Requirements:

1+ years of software engineering experience. Experience with web development will be an advantage.

Knowledge of atleast one programming language - Php / Python / Java / Scala / Ruby / C++ / Lisp /Haskell / Erlang

Good grasp of OOPs, Datastructures and Algorithms. Knowledge of Design Patterns will be an advantage.

Knowledge of HTML / Javascript / CSS.

Knowledge of any one datastore eg MySql, Sqlite, Mongo, Postgres, SQL Server etc.

Knowledge of version control systems.

Experience with Linux operating system will be an advantage.

Knowledge of internet concepts, and willingness to explore new technologies.

Soft Skills:

Should be able to work in un-structured and dynamic environment.

Demonstrated ability to envision web- and mobile-based services that meet consumer needs or solve business problems.

Passionate about technology and web/mobile based consumer products.

Good understanding of LoSoMo (Local Social Mobile) space.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Self motivated and team player.

Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
