Job Description
Software Engineer
Must be
able to work independently as well as in a team to define, design, implement,
test, release rollout and support complex software applications for PayPal�s
merchant onboarding platform.
Work with
business units to crystallize business needs into product features, acting as a
bridge between business and technical domains.
Consult
with business units on feasibility, technical requirements and cost estimates
for new initiatives.
Work with
engineering managers, engineers & QA to develop innovative solutions that
meet market needs w.r.t functionality, performance, reliability, realistic
implementations schedules and adherence to development goals and principles.
Requirements :
Enterprise
architecture/software design/implementation, particularly large-scale web-based
systems. (J2EE)
Java and
C++ programming in Linux/Unix environment
OO-based
analysis and design
UML and
design patterns
Experience
in one or multiple of the following industry standard presentation stacks: PHP,
Struts, Ruby, Dust or JSP
SOA / Web
Services
MVC
frameworks such as Spring
Software
design and development methodologies, including Agile methods
Source
Control (GIT experience is an advantage)
Unit
testing frameworks such as JUnit, Google Test
Database
design and optimization. (Oracle/MySQL)
Scripting
Languages (Shell, Python, Perl) would be a plus
JBoss,
OSGi, Jenkins/Hudson, Maven/Ant, RESTs experiences would be a plus
Mobile
Development experiences would be a plus
