Job Description
Application Engineer
Responsible
for designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs.
Develops
software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks,
utilities, databases and internet-related tools, etc.
Determines
hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Programmers who are
developing applications for technical end users (e.g., CAD, CAM, CAE, CASE)
should be matched here.
Works on
problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a
review of identifiable factors.
Exercises
judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate
action.
Requirements :
Required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Normally requires a BS degree and
0-2 years experience in programming software for operating systems, utilizing
machine assembly and/or job control languages, and knowledge of software
capabilities.
