Developer
This role is for a Senior SQL/SSIS developer in the PBTV team.
It will involve working alongside other developers to create solutions based on MS technologies and
meeting Business requirements.
Day to day activities will consist of analyzing business requirements, business logic and available
data, designing, developing, testing and documenting solutions as well as providing support after
implementation.
The role requires excellent inter-personal skills as well as excellent knowledge in T-SQL, SSIS and
SSRS.
The role includes providing technical directions in complex functional requirements and contributing
towards application design and architecture as well.
The candidate is expected to technically guide and supervise team-members whenever required,
with a view to lead team as and when situation demands.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide input identifying requirements by analysing existing solutions and data.
Get involved in design and solutioning of complex requirements.
Design, build, test, document solutions based on Microsoft SQL Server.
Support existing systems, analyse incidents, identify root causes and provide solutions.
Troubleshoot performance issues and provide solutions.
Suggest technical improvements from time to time, reducing technical debt.
Maintain development and test environments.
Take active role in stakeholder and vendor management as required.
Coordinate change management process as of the internal process defined.
Share knowledge within the team and train other team members.
Technology Skills:
Expert knowledge in MS SQL, SSIS and SSRS.
Understanding of enterprise level applications� architecture and components.
Experience supporting enterprise level applications based on Microsoft Technologies.
Educated to degree level in a technological, IT, business management discipline.
Fluent in oral and written English.
Ability to write code and documentation that�s easy to understand and maintain.
Experience in analysing and optimizing MS SQL performance � advantage.
Experience in Agile � advantage.
Experience in MS SQL administration � advantage.
Background knowledge in Banking, Finance, Wealth technology� advantage.
Understanding of Informatica/Autosys - Advantage.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong and clear communication.
Good analytical skills.
Ability to lead a small team.
Ability to interrogate business requirements and turn them into simplified structured tasks for
other tech members.
Ability to prepare task implementation plans for other tech members.
Ability to work with business stakeholders and customers to understand their requirements properly
and being able to explain them to other tech members.
Ability to host and moderate conference calls or business meetings, effectively gather
requirements, take meeting minutes.
Ability to produce template defined documents that will be issued for senior management sign-off
and/or distributed across teams as a reference documentation for tech members and/or other
stakeholders.
Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as being a good team player.
Attention to details, driving tasks for completion on your own.
Willingness to develop additional skills to enable more flexibility at work.
Proactive problem solver having strong �ownership� in what you do.
