Job Description

Network Infrastructure Engineer

Our Network Infrastructure Engineers build and maintain Akamai�s worldwide network.

 You�ll work closely with field technicians, ISPs, customers, equipment vendors, and internal operations and engineering staff.

 You will start by helping to remotely diagnose hardware problems, facilitate server repairs, and manage Akamai�s hardware assets.

As you gain experience,

you will advance to:

Recruiting, training, and managing field technicians.

Project-managing new network installations, working closely with Network Architects, Network Engineers, Contract Managers, and Operations staff.

Specifying hardware configurations to meet requirements of new and existing service offerings.

Diagnosing and repairing network, switch, and router problems.
