Forest Rangers
Educational Qualification: Applicant must possess Bachelor�s Degree (or equivalent) in Science or
Engineering of any recognized University with at least in one of the following subjects:-
Agriculture
Botany
Chemistry
Computer Applications/ Computer Science
Engineering (Agriculture/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/Mechanical)
Environmental Science
Forestry
Geology
Horticulture
Mathematics
Physics
Statistics
Veterinary Science
Zoology
Physical Standards:
Male candidate(Height): 163 Cms
Male candidate(Chest): Normal � 84 Cms, Expansion 05 Cms
Female candidate(Height): 150 Cms
Female candidate(Chest): Normal � 79 Cms, Expansion 05 Cms
Relaxations in Physical Standards given in notification
Age limit(As on 01.01.2018): 21 to 43 years.The upper age limit will be relaxed in the case of
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes candidates up to 5 (five) years as per rules.
APSC Recruitment 2018 Selection process:
The selection process is based on written examination, physical test and interview.
Scheme of Examination:
Interview: The Commission shall conduct an interview for the candidates who qualify in the
written examination. The maximum marks for the interview shall be 75.
Application Fee: Original Treasury Receipt for Rs.250/- (Rs 150/-for SC/ ST/ OBC/ MOBC
candidates) as Application fee showing the name of the post and deptt. and also full Head of
Account � Non tax Revenue, OTHER NON TAX REVENUE 0051 PSC, 105 STATE PSC Application fee
receipt of Assam Public Service Commission�.
