RECRUITMENT IN SAIL-ISP, BURNPUR

SAIL, a Maharatna Company, is India’s largest steel producer with an annual turnover of around Rs.50,000 Crore. It operates and owns one of its integrated steel plant at Burnpur. The Company is implementing a massive expansion plan involving a modernized plant at Burnpur.

  (B)  Scale of Pay:

Grade : S-3 ( Scale of pay: Rs.9160 -3%-  13150)

Grade : S-1 (Scale of pay : Rs.8630- 3%-  12080)

 

 

(i)     Emoluments and Other Benefits:  In addition to Basic and DA, the candidates are entitled to get other facilities such as Medical for self and dependent family members, company accommodation or HRA, Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, LTC/LLTC, Leave Encashment, Reimbursement of Local Travel Expenses, Production Incentive etc. as per rules.

(ii)   Candidates selected for the posts of Attendant-cum-Technician and Operator-cum-Technician will be placed on probation for a period of 1 year which may be extended depending upon their non successful completion of probation as per the requirement. After successful completion of their probation, the Attendant-cum-Technician and Operator-cum-Technician will be regularised in Grade of S-1 and Grade S-3 respectively.


(C)  Educational qualification, Age and experience required (To be supported with self attested copies ):

-      Matriculation and ITI from Govt./  Recognised Institution with at least 2nd Class Certificate of Boiler Competency.

-      Maximum age as on 1/10/2011 is 30 years.

Note:  (i) Application must be accompanied by the prescribed application fees and postal charges in the form of a Crossed Demand Draft from any Nationalised Bank payable at Burnpur drawn in favour of ‘Steel Authority of India Ltd – IISCO Steel Plant’. Applications submitted without fees / postal charges are liable to be rejected.

ii)   No other financial instrument except Crossed Demand Draft will be accepted and in case other instrument is submitted, the same application shall be rejected.

Selection:  Eligible candidates are required to appear for a written test followed by Interview and/or Trade Test. However, the Management reserves the right not to hold written test for both or any of the posts in case sufficient eligible applications are not received.

How to Apply: 

1)       Interested eligible candidates should  apply giving full particulars in PRESCRIBED FORMAT by downloading from the web site www.sail.co.in  only as indicated along side and shall attach necessary self attested copies of certificates and testimonials for proof of Age, Qualification, Experience, Caste,   Certificate of Boiler Competency etc, along with recent passport size coloured  photographs duly signed at the back of the photograph. Same photograph should be affixed for the entire process of recruitment and selection whenever required. Application must be filled in BLOCK LETTERS IN ENGLISH ONLY.

2)       Application complete in all respect must reach Sr.Manager(PL-CF),  IR Cell, 7 The Ridge, Burnpur, West Bengal PIN: 713325 by ordinary post only latest by 27TH December, 2011.  Applications sent other than ordinary post will not be accepted in any case. If the applications are sent through courier/ registered post, the same will not be accepted. Envelope containing the application should be clearly super-scribed ‘Application for the post of ACT-BO/ OCT-BO in SAIL-ISP’ as the case may be on the top of the envelope.  Applications received after the due date will not be accepted.

3)       The decision of SAIL-ISP, Burnpur in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance, rejection of the application, issue of call letters, mode of selection, conduct of written test, interview, trade test verification of testimonials and selection will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection.

 

General Conditions:

1)                Candidates not fulfilling the requirement specified in this advertisement need not apply.

2)                Candidates working in Govt/Semi-Govt/Public undertakings should apply through proper channel/should enclose No Objection Certificate from the present employer.

3)                The Company reserves the right to cancel recruitment for any of the post without assigning any reason. Decision of the Selection Committee shall be final and binding on each candidate. No separate communication shall be made in this regard except to the selected candidates.

4)                Candidates sponsored by the Local Employment Exchange will also have to apply in the prescribed application format along with the requisite fees as indicated in this advertisement, failing which they will not be considered for the selection process.

5)                All candidates have to appear for a written test at their own cost if management decides to hold the written test depending on the number of applications received.

6)                Bringing influence at any stage of the selection process will disqualify the candidate.

7)                Candidates belonging to SC/ST community called for interview/ Trade Test will be reimbursed single to and fro 2nd Class Railway Fare/Bus Fare by shortest route on production of Railway /Bus Tickets.

8)                Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their passing the Company’s Medical Examination as per standards laid down under SAIL Medical and Health Policy.

9)                If at any stage, it is detected that the candidate has given false information; his candidature will be rejected forthwith.

10)            The date, place and time of the Written Test/interview/trade test will be intimated in due course at the postal address provided.

11)            Candidates should give clear and complete postal address, mobile numbers and e-mail address, if any for correspondence; IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) will not be responsible for any postal delay / wrong delivery / non-delivery of any communication at any stage of the recruitment process.
