Job Description:
Asst. Regional Transport Officer/Asst. Director of Transport
Candidate should possess bachelor�s degree with first class with Minimum 65 % of marks in
Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering obtained from any of the universities established
or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational
institutions recognized as such or declared to be deemed as University under section 3 of the
University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such
by the Government;
The candidate shall possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the
Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
The candidate shall possess a valid light motor vehicles driving license at the time of appointment.
The minimum requisite standard of physique as specified in Appendix appended to these Rules; and
not be colour blind and must have good vision with or without glasses. The test of Minimum
Physical Standard will be held at Office of the GPSC for those Candidates who Passed Priliminery
test with qualifying Standard.
