National
Institute Of Technology Karnataka Inviting Applications For the following posts
1) Half Time Teaching Assistant
(HTTA)
This is a
three year program based on the `Teach While You Learn’ concept. The program
will enable selected candidates to gain experience in Research, Teaching and
Consultancy activities while pursuing their M. Tech. degree.
Qualification : First Class in B.E./ B. Tech.
degree in relevant discipline with minimum CGPA of 7.5/10 or 70% (considering
aggregate marks of all semesters) and not exceeding 25 years of age at the time
of application. A valid GATE score would
be desirable.The salient features of the program are as follows:
Pay Scale : Assistantship of Rs. 15,000 per
month.
2) Research Assistants (PGRAs).
This is a
five year assignment based on the `Teach While You Learn’ concept. Selected
candidates will be required to assist the respective departments in teaching
activities in addition to carrying out cutting edge research towards award of
Ph.D. degree.
Pay Scale : Assistantship of Rs. 25,000 per
month for the first two years and Rs. 28,000 per month for the next three
years.
Qualification : First Class in B. Tech./ B.E. and
First Class in M. Tech./ M.E. degrees in relevant discipline with minimum CGPA
of 7.5/10 or 70% in each degree (considering aggregate marks of all semesters)
and not exceeding 30 years of age at the time of application. In addition, candidates
shall also be tested for their aptitude in teaching through a presentation on a
topic of his/her choice before an expert committee.

form is to be sent to The Nodal Officer (Academic), TEQIP-II Unit, NITK,
Surathkal along with necessary DD for Rs. 500 (Rs. 150 in case of SC/CT candidates)
drawn in favour of the Director, National Institute of Technology Karnataka,
Surathkal, Srinivasnagar payable at State Bank of India, Surathkal / Canara
Bank, NITK Campus branch, Surathkal. Application without the DD for the
required amount will not be considered.
The last for submission of completed application form is 18-06-2012.
