Job Description
National Institute of Technology, Durgapur an Institute of national
importance established under the NIT Act, 2007 invites applications from Indian
national, belonging to SC, ST, OBC (non- creamy layer)/ PH categories and
possessing consistently good academic background, with commitment to quality
teaching and potential for carrying out outstanding research, for faculty
positions at the level of Assistant Professor in various department of the
Institute.

Qualification : Ph.D Degree with
First class or equivalent at the Bachelor`s or Master`s level in appropriate
discipline
Experience : Not Mandatory
pay scale: PB- 3 Rs.
15,600-39,100 +AGP- Rs. 6000/-
Age limit : 38 Yrs for OBC
Candidates. and 40 Yrs. for SC/ST/PH Candidates.

Application form may be submitted
with necessary fee of Rs.600/- for OBC Candidates in the form of Demand Draft
drawn in favor of Director , NIT Durgapur payable at SBI, R.E. College Branch , Durgapur -713209. However,
SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from paying any application fee.
