Indian Statistical Institute Inviting Applications for the following posts

1) Visiting Scientist/Research Associate

Educational Qualification : Ph.D (Sociology)

Pay Scale : Rs.35,000/- to Rs.40,000/-P.M. + HRA

Age limit : below 32 years

2) Assistant Professor

Educational Qualification : Ph.D degree in Sociology and strong academic record

Experience : 3 year’s Post-doctoral Research and/or teaching experience

Pay Scale : (PB-3) Rs.15,000-39,100 with minimum pay of Rs. 30,000 with Grade Pay of Rs.8,000 + allowances. After completion of 3 years’ service in

PB-3 they will be placed in (PB-4) Rs.37,400-67,000 with Grade pay of Rs.9,000 + allowances.

Age limit : 32 years

3) Associate Professor

Educational Qualification : Ph.D. degree in Sociology and consistently strong academic record

Experience : 6 Years’ research and/or teaching experience in the post of Assistant Professor

Pay Scale : (PB-4) Rs.37,400-67,000 with minimum pay Rs.42,800 with Grade pay of Rs.9,500+ allowances.

3) Associate Professor/Professor

Educational Qualification : Ph.D. degree in Sociology and consistently strong academic record

Experience : 12 years’ research and teaching experience with 6 years’ in the post of Associate Professor or equivalent(relaxable in exceptional cases)

Pay Scale : PB-4 Rs.37,400-67,000 with minimum pay Rs.48,000 with Grade pay of Rs.10,500.
